Welcome to the Centurion Cycling Club
web site. We hope that you’ll join us and other bicycle enthusiasts as
we prepare for the upcoming spring, summer and fall months and pedal
our way through some of the most beautiful cycling routes of the east
coast and New England. |
| |
|
For over 16 years, members of the Boston
Police Department and other law enforcement agencies from New England
have participated in an annual bicycle ride to raise funds for the
Massachusetts Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation. Each year, the ride
has been held in May during National Law Enforcement Officers Week.
Officers pedaled 400 miles over four days from Boston to Washington,
DC. |

We could not have completed these rides
and reached our fundraising goals without the generosity of our
supporters. Each rider raised significant resources to support the
planning, designing and construction of the Massachusetts Law
Enforcement Memorial, which was completed and unveiled in May 2004. We
hope to continue our support for this memorial by participating in the
“DC Ride” and in other rides.

Because of the enthusiasm generated by
the DC Ride, we formed a cycling club that includes benefit rides and
special occasion rides. Everyone is invited to join us. We’ll be
posting events and ride schedules on our website. We've purchased team
cycling shirts and other equipment that identifies our group and have
raised funds for a number of different causes over the past 2 years.
Check our Photo Gallery to see our team in action at the “Hub on
Wheels” Boston Bike Festival, the Rodman Ride for Kids, the Face of
America Ride, Reid’s Ride and the NYPD “Tour de Force” ride.

that we hope to participate in over the course of the year. |
